Aerial Photography & Data Acquisition

Imagery & Data Acquired By Skilled Operators

The quality of your aerial photography and/or data acquisition makes or breaks your project. Aerial Services’ expert flight crews, imagery specialists, aerial cameras, aerial film scanners, and LiDAR systems are ready to surpass your expectations and Map Your World®!  Plus, with over 40 years of experience, you’ll know your project is completed with the accuracy and care you need.

Conventional Photography

Conventional aerial photography is provided in black and white, color negative, color positive, and color infrared using advanced Jena LMK aerial camera systems.  These systems include forward image motion compensation and gyro-stabilized mounts to control camera movement and provide crisp imagery.  The cameras’ automatic exposure control and advanced flight management systems ensure your project is completed with quality and accuracy.  All of Aerial Services’ camera systems are calibrated by the USGS every three years and exceed all state and federal specifications for aerial photography.

Digital Photography

Digital photography has changed the way aerial photographs are acquired. These new cameras are versatile in many mapping applications and have higher positional accuracy than conventional cameras.

Precision Scanning

Aerial Services provides high quality digital imagery using some of the best automated photogrammetric-quality scanners in the industry.  Virtually any type of film can be scanned to a resolution of five microns (5000 dpi).

Scanning equipment includes:

  • Leica DSW 700 Scanner (B&W & color)
  • Vexcel 4000 Scanner (B&W & color)
  • Vexcel UltraScan 5000 Scanner (B&W & color)

LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging)

LiDAR technology offers acquisition of digital elevation data for large-scale mapping projects. Optionally, Aerial Services’ photogrammetrists can provide turn-key photogrammetric and LiDAR solutions by supplementing LiDAR data with traditional photogrammetric methods.
